CREDITS
Phasion Live ships with thousands of audio-reactive Milkdrop presets created by the global VJ community over the last two decades. These artists built the foundation Phasion stands on — many of the visuals you'll see were authored long before this app existed, shared freely on forums, fan sites, and community archives.
Featured preset authors
A few of the artists whose work shapes what Phasion looks like, by volume of presets shipped:
And many, many more — hundreds of authors over twenty-plus years. The full preset library is the work of a community, not a company.
Sources
Phasion Live's preset library is assembled from publicly-available community collections, including "Cream of the Crop" (curated by Jason Fletcher, the default bundle for projectM since 2022) and other freely-shared archives. The underlying Butterchurn rendering engine by Jordan Berg is what brings these presets to life in the browser.
Curated, not authored
Phasion Live's role is to curate, render, and surface these visuals — combined with new tools (BPM detection, dual-blend, audience interaction, AI prompts) that give them new context. We don't claim authorship of the visual presets themselves.
Email hello@phasion.live with the preset name (or a link / screenshot) and we'll update the credit, link your site, or remove the preset from the library — whichever you prefer. We'll respond within a few days.
